Control Choices

With a 2-way extended range key fob transmitter, coverage distances of a quarter-mile or more are possible. The advantage of a 2-way transmitter is that it provides visual and/or audible confirmation of the remote start command with lights or icons on the transmitter screen. Additional optional features such as doors locked (or unlocked), interior temperature and remote starter run time are also possible to display on many 2-way transmitter systems.
For the ultimate in extended range, use a smartphone to control your remote car starter system. Using a brand-specific app, the remote car starter or other connected accessories (such as door locks, trunk release, etc.) can be controlled by the smartphone and activate the vehicle anywhere there is a cellular data signal. You can even get GPS location and status reports on your vehicle through the smartphone. Hardware for the cellular data receiver is installed in the vehicle and provides the interface for the remote starter and smartphone.
